Eugene and Springfield have a combined population of nearly 200 hundred thousand and offer lots entertainment opportunities, a growing high-tech industry and excellent hospitals. The weather in the southern Willamette Valley is warm and dry in the summer and mild and wet in the winter, With those mild winters Deerwood remains open all year. Shoppers can chose from the national chains or the local merchants. Both are in abundance. Along with the large RV, high-tech and lumber industries, you’ll find the University of Oregon and Lane Community College. This eclectic community is both friendly and welcoming.
